Subtext-y Goodness

Masturbation: This one is a bit more oblique, but it's the Weighing of the Wands chapter of GoF. Harry's in a wizard competition and they all get their wands measured. The descriptions of the other guys' wands are rather phallic with Cedric's wand being pleasantly springy and polished regularly, while Viktor's is quite rigid and thicker than one usually sees. Harry looks at his wand and notices that it has finger marks all over it. Then he takes a fistful of his robe to wipe it off, and gold sparks shoot out. Fleur gives him a patronizing look and he stops.

Why is it only the third week of the quarter? I feel like it's nearing the end of the quarter. Or it should be. This is going to be a long one...
Plus it doesn't help that eventful things will be occuring in the not so distant future. Like the Buffy finale (which I'll probably be going back home for so I won't have to mourn alone), Matrix 2, Seattle Shindig (Firefly Fancon), the 5th HP book, Janet Evanovich's next book, Pirates of the Carribean...
But for the rest of this month and about half of May, it's a blank slate. Or one with a slightly scribble that was the TWOP Seattle con but due to my spaciness, I forgot it was 12th and thought it was the somewhere in the twenties. (I found out the day after that it had already occurred. Tsk... And I had even promised to bring the nametags!) Anyway, besides that, all I have to look forward to are classes and work. (Although I'm really enjoying Human Sexuality--except for the STD unit is making me consider vows of abstinence.)
