So I was going by Walmart on Tuesday looking for Hard Eight by Janet Evanovich thinking it would be there cuz hey, it's a popular NY times bestselling author coming out with a new book of a popular series. Not too crazy, huh? Except it wasn't there and when I asked a clerk about it, he said (after checking) that the book must have changed release dates or something and they'd have it out in a week or so. Uh, no. BN.com, B&N, Waldenbooks, and even Walmart.com have it and released it on the right day. Man, those wacky booksellers. Obviously they only changed the release date for the this Walmart because they're that special. ::grumble:: Stupid Walmart. So I had to order the book from BN.com (but at 40% off and free shipping, so yay!)
But on the better news, I finally received my Buffy S2 DVDs. And after having watched a lot of it, I've decided that I don't hate Marti as much. I think the not knowing Buffy died thing was just a joke that fell flat (and the phrasing was very Josslike). And I admit, she's kind of charming in a weird way and not that annoying.
So Marti, you may have won this round but things aren't over yet!
Anyway, the features were very cool but man was it freaky to hear Juliet (Dru) talk. I knew her accent was fake but the way she talked was so distinctive that her real voice was almost alien. (The same thing happened with JM long ago when I first heard him talk w/o the accent. It was such a shock that I immediately labeled him a Big Dork whenever he spoke. But I'm over that now and it's grown on me. I'm just a sucker for the pretty.)
