there's almost a sort of group acceptance in ranting about Whedon/Marti/Spike/Seasons 5-7 BtVS.


I remember a while ago on TWOP, a new poster prefaced a statement with something like, "I know I'm the stupidest stup who ever stupped, but I actually liked S6." No one person responded. It's like that attitude is so ingrained that when someone says something like this, it's not even questioned.


Most of the discussion over there consists only of rushing to the most obvious one liners, and a self-congratulatory attitude over how smart they are.


I know. I stopped reading episode threads a long time ago. The first few pages usually read like opening night at a bad comedy club.


And many of them seem to assume that because they don't like where a story is going, it must suck. Because their taste is an automatic arbitrator of quality.
