yikes... that happened to me a couple years back, but i had this weird feeling the day before it happened and unnnaturally saved the paper i was working on to a disk. i still tend to take my computer for granted though. hope your roommate will still be able to meet her deadline.

do you by chance know the buffy schedule for the next couple weeks? there was supposed to be a new episode tonight, but it's being overrun by the mariners game. ;(
