Wow, what a night. And a busy day.

A friend and I decided to see Chicago, which is a great movie. Wonderful. I adore musicals. It's very reminiscent of Moulin Rouge but it's less like the musical world because much of the singing/dancing seems to occur in an imaginary stage for an imaginary audience (it's set 1920ish where vaudeville performances were the norm) the song fitting in with whatever was going on at that point. The music is great, catchy and well sung. It's so weird to see Richard Gere singing though. And I didn't know Catherine Zeta Jones or Renee Zellwiger even could sing. Anyway, I'm buying the soundtrack and am considering buying the ones for the actual broadway play.

Anyway, the highlight of my night was going to a club with a bunch of other people. I came back from downtown late so I had to rush to meet my friend and bunch of people. Instead of thinking about what to wear, I rushed and put on my boots. I regret that completely. We took the bus downtown but got off on the wrong stop (they really didn't plan this out that well) and had to walk to the vague area where they knew the club to be. Ouch. My poor feet. These boots are not made for walking.

We arrived, and the interesting part came about when this guy decided to dance with me. (I was sort of dancing with friends only by, in that I moved with the music, but not really) And this is club dancing, i.e. bump 'n grind. And I actually played along. I'm really sure I didn't do it right but I moved along with him. Back to back, front to front. It was, um, interesting. It ended when my friends decided to take a break and I eagerly joined them. After that I'm sure he went around looking for some other girl to surprise.

Eventually we went back to the dance floor (with my feet still killing me, I don't know how people dance in heels), danced some more, it was fun. Except for the part where we had to walk many many blocks to find a busstop that would take us home that late. (around 1:00) It was raining and the shoes were so painful for my feet. I'm sure they were crying mutiny. I was tempted to just take off my shoes and walk the Seattle streets barefoot. (But I'm glad I didn't becuase I walked home to Mercer from Terry in socks and it was frickin' cold and wet. But somehow still better than wearing the shoes)

So, yeah, that was my night. Maybe I'll go to a club again (wearing sensible shoes) if my friends go. I had fun. I've never went clubbing before this so hey, new experience.
