In a world where...
Dec. 7th, 2002 10:20 pmYes! I got the class I wanted. Okay, not really the class, more like the credits since vocabulary classes don't exactly make for fun times. But it's worth 2 credits, which means I can drop one of my 5 credit classes. Or I can be a masochist and take an 18 credit schedule. For some reason though, I'm not really feeling that urge. Plus, I can take the damn enrollment page off as my default webpage.
Now I have to decide what to drop: Geography, Psychology, or Weather (Atmosphere). Hard decision.
Geography makes me wake up early MWF, and for Friday, I only have an afternoon class so it annoyingly breaks up that whole morning. And you have to buy a brand new book and it comes with a boring sounding reader. Plus I'm not even sure what exactly they teach.
But Weather seems to also involve science-y stuff and mapping fronts, and reading weather charts. And Psychology has lots of vocabulary and brain stuff, which, upon reading Foder, doesn't quite fill me with excitement.
I think I might wait to drop until the first week.
In other news, I am incredibly pissed at my DVD drive. First, it wouldn't take the LOTR Extended DVDs. (Though now it opens a "what the hell do you want me to do with these damn blank cds?" window rather than having no reaction at all, except the double clicking of the D drive still insists there's nothing inside) Now it does the same thing to the normal LOTR DVDs. It's not the DVDs because I watched the first cd at home in 3 different DVD players (two standalone and one computer one) and it worked fine. My roommate tried it on hers after I failed on mine and worked. My DVD drive works. It accepts other discs and DVDs fine (just rewatched Drop Dead Gorgeous) I think it might be format. The ones that play fine are DVD-Video. And what's causing problems are the DVD Video/Roms. But my computer is new and they did work on old family one. Bah, technology.

I actually went downtown by myself today. Just casually, in the middle of the afternoon just to stop by a comic shop. I love having free bus passes. I got more pictures and merchandise ::pauses for the nonsurprise:: They had this huge file thing of 8x10 color photos that I went through looking for this one cute shot of SMG but I told myself if I saw anything from OMWF, I'd get it. And lo and behold, there were two, one where Buffy/Spike one in front of the open door during RIP and the other of Willow/Tara smiling at each other while sitting in the Magic shop. Plus the Buffy/Spike mini-lunch box which amuses me to no end. And the little stake shaped gum inside. (or black vaguely pointy oddly shaped thingies as I like to call them) I need to get more of these.
