I've gotten back into Moulin Rouge. I love that movie. Came on HBO and so I recorded it. Now I keep listening to the music. The fact that I found the reprise of "Come What May" (::sniff::) online and the Green Fairy bit didn't help keep it off of WMP. And I think I'm going to get the two disc CD set.


I should be doing homework now. I have a one page analysis of the inverted spectrum and the issues it raises for functionalism as a theoretical framewor--Dude. Cuz, dude. Needs no explanation. And I so totally want it.


Anyway, back from that distraction, I got my first paycheck! So fun. Money. Lots. Okay, just $97.19, but it was only for 14 hrs worked. Still, my first ever paycheck. I love money. Oddly though, they didn't take money out for social security or taxes. Just 81 cents for med aid/workmans comp. But who am I to argue?


Huh...Talking to Sara made me realize how much of a merchandise whore I am. I first listed a bunch of new things I got, then had to add some more... And then, add some more. But really, me, obsessive? Okay, so here's a list of newly acquired merchandise in the past month or two:

- LOTR: FOTR Daily Calendar (pretty pictures. Every day. What's not to love?)

- Hush 12 inch action figures set (3 total, but on sale. Heavily discounted. This cancels out everything)

- TTT Legolas poster... (ditto)
- 4 SMG 8 X 10 pics (on sale, %75 off. I love SMG)
- 3 BtVS postcards
- 2 packs of S6 Collector Cards


(hm, sensing a theme here? Buffy, LOTR, Buffy, LOTR... At least I'm deep in my whoredom)

See? Looking at it, it's clearly not that much. And we will ignore the fact that I may get more. It doesn't count. (And that tone of defensiveness is definitely a figment of your imagination)


I may be a merchandise whore, but I'm not obsessive.

I was going to say something but I got distracted by the Spike stand-up. Well just assume whatever I was going to say was completely brilliant and thought-provoking while I go drool over the Spike thing. Cuz dude...

I just realized that one of the postcards on my board contains a horrible sight. It's a Season 5 cast picture. Pretty Tara, pretty spike... Riley...


Ew.


But I thought about it, and rectified the matter completely. I just went through my S6 cards, found the one of the slimy monster from As You Were (that exact shot) then cut out a little oval of the tongue thingy inside the head (or mouth, I could never get my demon anatomy down...) and pasted it over Riley's head. There. Much better.


Aren't I resourceful?
