Shampooers do it once then repeat
Oct. 9th, 2002 11:12 pmDammit, that stupid mouse wheel is annoying. Click on a pulldown menu, and then try to use the wheel to move down the page just moves the selection. Which is why my post went to the firefly community.
Anyway, reposting.
Damn, BtVS spoiled me. Clever and witty dialogue. Interesting plots. And Buffy can sell her one-liners.
The girl who plays Huntress has some issues with that. That and acting. And comedic timing.
I will say nothing about the super-cheesy melodramatic flashbacks and voice-over.
I liked Barbara, though. And dude, she's the chick from Starship Troopers, Dizzy. Totally didn't recognize her.
I also like Dinah. Interesting character (though not the brightest.. who meets a guy in the middle of the night in the middle of a city you've never been to?) though I hope she doesn't become the shapeshifting plot contrivance.
Hee, she did amuse me when during a discussion Huntress and Barbara were having over who would go where and how they didn't couldn't be at two places at once. She kept saying that she'd go to the docks for them and they kept ignoring her. Until finally she yells: "Let me go to the damn dockyards!"
And the costumes. Wow. Weird. Cartoons make these things seem so much less cheesier. They should be practical. How practical is it to not wear a mask while flashing your cleavage around? And what's with that gauzy flowing jacket (like Angel's coat only lacy and transparant) thing she has? Pretty to look at but what's the point?
When they showed a flashback of batgirl and batman fighting, I was totally expecting things like *kruk* and *blam* and *boof* interspersed throughout it.
The fighting looks cool, or from what I remember of it. And the high-tech parts look great.
I want more HoYay.
There was so much potential for good tv.
Maybe it'll grow on me.
