I kept forgetting to post what I had typed up... Well now's a perfectly good time.
Past couple of days have been weird, with some good and not so good moments. Wednesday was miserable. I was down with a case of food poisoning. I could tell with all the fun stomach pain and throwing up. Really though, how do you get food poisoning from a nectarine and a slice of french bread? That's all I had that day. I felt fine when I woke up but some time in the early afternoon, I just started feeling bad. Anyway, I spent most of the day sitting there on the bathroom floor because it was convenient and laying down hurt too much.
Finally, that night, I started feeling better. Still couldn't eat anything (and didn't until Thursday evening) but I could move around without pain.
Well there ends the fun portion of the entry...
Besides Wednesday, things have been going pretty well. I got to set my new computer up in my room. I'm in love with it. No crashes. Fast. Quiet. Everything the family computer is not. I almost had to wait until the end of September to use it but my Dad figured I should test it out to see if everything worked. Especially since the printer has a limit of 30 days for returns. So I convinced him that letting the computer stay up would be no trouble and here I am. XP is cool and I'm customizing everything I can (finally, I can use my Buffy pinup wallpaper and Legolas screensaver)
One of the biggest reason for wanting the new computer up is The Sims. Wonderful game except it's screwed up so badly on the old computer that I gave up trying to play. Because it's so open ended, it can get messed up anywhere. A bad skin, object... And unfortunately, I had many of both. I tried going through the skins (thousands of skins, ouch) to see if I could find the problem but nothing was working. So I've abandoned most of the skins and objects I had been collecting and started anew on this computer. I'm taking some of the good basics but that's it.
My goal right now is to construct a Buffy neighborhood with all the characters and houses (the hardest part, I may have actually watch many episodes to figure out the layouts. Darn) I used to worry that I wouldn't find any good Btvs skins (the faces tend to be crap) to use but now I've found too many.
So instead of being a canon representation of BtVS, it will be like a cliched bad slashfic. Everybody's gay or bi and they all do each other. And since I couldn't choose between the good skins, I'm using them all... So currently there will be: 4 Buffys, 2 Willows, 2 Taras (though I had to edit the skins because a lot of people set her body type as fat. Ugh, my pet peeve.), 3 Anyas, 2 Dawns, and 2 Faiths. (and some guys) Most of the females will be paired as slashily as possible (though one or two of the many will go to their het partners).
The pairings I have in mind:
Buffy & Faith - There isn't just hate between these two. You know they secretly in love with each other. Did you see Faith admiring Buffy's body (while in it) in Who Are you? There was something there....
Buffy & Spike - I'm a S/B shipper at heart so obviously, this must be there. And there's no Marti to screw things up..
Buffy & Willow - There's no such thing as platonic same-sex friendship in this world.
Tara & Willow - aww... I'm a sap.. Tara will never die.
Harmony & Drusilla - what can I say? They've both been screwed by Spike. Take that however you wish. Plus the Darla skin I had sucked and Harmony was convenient.
Amy & Kendra - the fact that these two never met is no hurdle. They still secretly wanted each other.
Anya & Tara - They've so been crushing on each other... Remember Tabula Rasa? That was no innocent moment they shared during the NonBuffyScooby meeting.
Faith & Dawn - You know Dawn crushed on Faith since the first time Faith came over for dinner. (What you say? She didn't exist at that time? But she was there in Season 5 and everybody acted like she's been around forever.
Xander & Anya - token het couple.
Anya & Giles - It became so obvious in Tabula Rasa...
Giles & Jenny - ::sniff:: Passion was just a dream for Giles.
I decided to not pair one Buffy and one Dawn (I know, I know, fanfic blasphemy) but I wanted to keep the Summer house intact. Now Dawn, Buffy, Willow and Tara can live happily in the house of Estrogen.
Now I just need to find good Troika skins. I could make them a secret lair and let them shag to their heart's content.
