I don't get why, when I try to go to livejournal.com through AOL, I'm automatically fowarded to www.amatuervideos.nl which goes to Hanky Panky College. Wha?? I tried it with other websites and they work fine. Except for livejournal...
Anyway, besides that, I'm happy right now. Just got word from Dell that my new computer is being shipped as I type... Pretty thing too. Dell Dimension 8200. Pentium 4 procesor at 2 Ghz. 256 MB of memory with a DVD and CD-R player. Cost about $1200 which is a pretty good price considering my brother bought a new computer a couple of months ago and it cost him around $1500 - $1700.
I had considered a laptop, but money was one of the main considerations (for my Dad) since it costs more to get same the features as a desktop and it costs more to repair. Plus I'd lose it. I know me and and at least I can't misplace a desktop. Sure I'd lose out on mobility but even if I took my hypothetical laptop home, I wouldn't be able to use it because there's only one connection to the internet and this computer is using it.
However, one of the downsides to it being shipped now is that I can't use it until I go to college. My Dad says it's pointless to open the box since there's no where to set it up and no internet. ::sigh::
Edited to Add: I figured it out... Instead of typing livejournal.com I accidently typed www.livejounal.com which is the porn site. Those wacky porn websites. That's why I love them. They just keep you guessing.
